I Got a Crankin' Holiday!!!

The view from the beach across the road from our unit. The city on the point there is Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia! Fantastic!!!

Luke and I recently flew to Queensland to celebrate my 21st and to visit my Dad. We spent 4 days in the middle of nowhere (where I was born) with my Dad and his wife Liz. Twas pretty good, hot though! We went bush bashing in my 100 year old jeep (prolly exaggerated a little bit there lol), drove a Nissan 300zx twin turbo (oooo that was niiiiice and fast!!), visited my Nanna and Pop (who leant us the unit on the beach!) and drank quite a lot of beer!

After 4 days with the parentals, they dropped us off on the Gold Coast! W00t! This is tourist central in Australia, containing 4 major theme parks, good surfing and major shopping! We did all that and more!

The first of the parks we went to was Warner Brothers Movie World where we went on the Scooby Doo roller coaster, Superman rollercoaster, Lethal Weapon rollercoaster, Wild Wild West log ride, just to name the mjor things.

Seaworld was next, seals, dolphins, sharks, penguins, fish, polar bears, etc. Spent the whole day looking at the animals (I was sick with a major cold so we just took it easy that day).

Dreamworld is always one I really enjoy going to. Lots of rides, lots of animals and silly characters. Fun, fun, fun for the whole family! It is also the home of Australia's Big Brother! I went on the scariest ride ever there. It's a 38 storey tower and it takes you right to the top and then just lets you go and you fall! Oh my goodness! I thought I was going to die! (for those of you who dont know, I'm afraid of heights!)

Last but not least was Wet and Wild Water Park. I was a bit dissapointed actually. Because it is the end of school for some, that's where they all go, so the lines were nuts! We only spent a few hours there and only went on a few of the slides. I would have like to stay longer but the lines were ridiculas!

More photos and stuff to come!
